Bertram D. Hinton, Jr. is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He is the son of Bertram D. and Angela Hinton, Sr. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Norfolk State University and an M.A. in Theology with an Emphasis on Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon Theological Seminary at Grand Canyon University. He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Bethel Temple Faith Church in Concord, NC. Bertram is also member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and is married to his beautiful silhouette Nickie Hinton. Pastor Hinton was raised and trained as a child to love and live for the Lord, thus confirming the Word of God which says, “train up a child in the way he should go; when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). God’s hand has been on his life from his mother’s womb and God has continually shown Himself to be faithful. As Bertram grew and matured spiritually the Lord saw fit for elevation and on July 29, 2001, he was ordained as a Deacon. After faithfully serving in that capacity the Lord called once again on January 28, 2007, and Bertram was ordained as an Elder at Full Gospel Deliverance Church of God under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Dorothy M. Smith.

After serving as an Elder at Bethel Temple Church in Portsmouth, VA for five years under the tutelage of Apostle Earl C. Hinton, Sr., God saw fit through his pastor to call him into full time ministry as a Senior Pastor. Hence, Bethel Temple Faith Church was birthed on September 6, 2015 under the umbrella of the Gethsemane Family of Churches. After several years of faithful service in the Pastorate and fruitful growth in the local assembly, on January 29, 2022, Pastor Hinton was duly consecrated a Bishop in the Lord’s Church.
Bishop Hinton truly loves God with all his heart and constantly strives towards being the man that God has called him to be. One of his favorite scriptures is, “commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3). Bishop Hinton’s prayer is that he will continue to be submissive to the Lord’s will for his life, believing the Word of God which says, “being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6)
